2017 Theme: “Families, education and well-being”
The International Day of Families is observed on the 15th of May every year. This year’s observance focuses on the role of families and family-oriented policies in promoting education and overall well-being of their members.
The United Nations Division for Social Policy and Development (DSPD), in partnership with the Department of Public Information Non-Governmental Organizations (DPI NGO), has organized an event on May 18 at UN headquarters in NY to celebrate this International Day. Diego Barroso, member of the Executive Committee of IFFD, will give a speech in this event about “Parental education and family well-being”.
