On June 30th the 3rd Edition of the Family Enrichment Holidays (FEH) kicked off. This activity is designed to further qualify moderators and other people who continue to coordinate IFFD’s programs all over the world, although it’s specially directed to European countries. 12 families from 7 countries (Germany, Belgium, Croatia, Slovenia, Poland, Portugal and Sweden) participated in 2018’s edition.
This yearly training is held on the first fortnight of July and summons future moderators and sponsors of our courses. They gather along with their families in a housing development in the wine region of Somontano in Huesca (Northern Spain), where they spend a couple days of family vacation combining education and leisure.
On top of the daily 2-hour training sessions for the future moderators, several family activities were held such as outdoor cinema sessions, barbecues and excursions both to nearby lakes as well as the nearby towns.
This experience is enriching for both our program’s future moderators and associates and their families. The former acquire further knowledge in educational issues and moderating techniques, which will lead them to join the team of moderators in each of their countries of origin. The latter get to know families from other parts of the world with shared interests and get the chance to stablish solid friendships.
