In Komarovo, a city close to Saint Petersburg, “Different Summer”, a family holiday program which includes training for parents, has taken place for the first time in Russia. On this occasion, it was based on the IFFD program “First Letters”, aimed at parents with children between the ages of 6-7 years. Eight families from Saint Petersburg, Moscow and Belarus took part.
This program, which combines holidays with training for parents, has been taking place in Poland, the USA, Italy and Spain for many years, with great success. In the most recent Spanish edition, which took place this summer, 128 families took part, the number having been steadily increasing each year. In 2016, IFFD has also set up “Family Enrichment Holidays”, an international event for Family Enrichment moderators, which gives IFFD collaborators the opportunity to receive training whilst enjoying a relaxing vacation with their families. In this first edition, which took place in the Spanish Pyrenees, 18 families, with 11 different nationalities, took part.
