2017 Theme: “Families, education and well-being”
The International Day of Families is observed on the 15th of May every year. This year’s observance focuses on the role of families and family-oriented policies in promoting education and overall well-being of their members.
The United Nations Division for Social Policy and Development (DSPD), in partnership with the Department of Public Information Non-Governmental Organizations (DPI NGO), organized an event on May 18 at UN headquarters in NY to celebrate this International Day. Diego Barroso, member of the Executive Committee of IFFD, gave a speech in this event about “Parental education and family well-being”.
